The Start of 21 Tequila

Brandon Bellinger was never much of a tequila drinker, and he’ll be the first to admit it. But one night, while staring at an empty bar glass, he honestly wondered why.

His newly discovered tequila-based wonder stayed with him long after that night. He began striking up conversations with total strangers and found that many shared his distaste towards tequila.

An engineer by trade, Brandon believed he could solve the problem. The only proper way to do this, in his humble opinion, was to craft his own tequila.

Wrangling his brother, Trevor, into the mix was the easy part.

Brandon and Trevor set out as a couple of amateurs on the path to learn about and discover better tequila – tequila that would make you do a double take (and not in the way that plastic handle of mystery stuff in college did).

In their search, they found and became close to a small family distillery in the highlands of Arandas, Jalisco, Mexico. Felicano Vivanco Y Asociados—a distillery that still respects tradition and the true nature of tequila—took them in like family and believed in the vision of 21 Tequila.

After finding the finest blue agave, and filing for patents, copyrights and permits, their years of dedication was paid off when the first bottles of 21 Tequila hit the shelves.
